Château Sociando-Mallet is een naam om te onthouden. Het is gevestigd in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, een mini-dorpje in het noorden van de Haut-Médoc op nog geen vijf kilometer afstand van Château Calon-Ségur, een Grand Cru Classé in het beroemde Saint-Estèphe. Naar verluidt worden de beste wijnen van de Médoc geproduceerd door wijnstokken met uitzicht over de Gironde. “Château Sociando-Mallet has the best view of the Gironde of any Médoc château I have visited”, aldus Jancis Robinson.
